Why I don't need to read books when I'm on Chemo

At first, reading books seemed like a good idea with all this "extra time" on my hands. Then after reading a title of some book I hadn't read, my dreams became the dramatic, detailed plot to match the book title (of course, not the book since I hadn't read the book) or a plot inspires itself because of some event I've read or heard about. The dream books are sometime so intense that they repeat and embellish seeming all night long.Don't suggest that I try to write them down (or think of publishing them )

  1. Dear Marilyn,
For some reason your post didn't come through. I received the title, but nothing else. I am still wondering why you don't need to read books when you are on chemo. Hopefully the rest of the message will come through soon. Just wanted to let you know...
    Always thinking of you,
    Ann

  2. Marilyn:
I'm hoping you have books on tape or maybe the other members of the group are sooooo interesting you are visiting. Think about you and John often and hope things are improving.

  3. Marilyn, wow, the mind is amazing complex system. Having a degree in psychology, working now on mental health units, as well as with people with Alzheimer's and brain injury has driven that point home for me. Chemicals can & do affect the subconscious. Thankfully, "this too shall pass" and you will be back to reading and enjoying books again! You are in our thoughts and prayers, Linda & Mike I.
